Safety-critical systems

Brakes &
suspension.

Two systems you feel every time you drive — and two you can't afford to ignore. We inspect, explain and repair with quality parts once you authorise the work.

Braking systems

When braking changes, get it checked

Brakes wear gradually, so changes are easy to get used to. If anything about your braking feels different — noise, feel or behaviour — an inspection is the sensible move.

  • Braking noise — squealing, grinding or scraping under braking
  • Vibration — pulsing through the pedal or steering wheel when slowing
  • Pulling — the vehicle moving left or right under braking
  • Reduced response — a soft, spongy or low pedal, or longer stopping distances

An inspection may cover pad and disc measurement, caliper and hose condition, fluid condition and a road test where appropriate. Symptoms can have multiple causes — we confirm the fault before replacing parts.

Suspension & steering

Ride, handling and control

Suspension problems often announce themselves as knocks, an uneven ride or vague handling — but they also affect braking stability and tyre life.

  • Suspension knocks — clunks or rattles over bumps and rough surfaces
  • Uneven ride — bouncing, wallowing or the vehicle sitting low on one corner
  • Steering concerns — looseness, pulling or uneven tyre wear patterns
  • Handling changes — the vehicle feeling unsettled in corners or under braking

An inspection may cover shock absorbers, springs, suspension arms, bushes, linkages and steering components, with a road test where appropriate.
